Oh come on, Tim.....we invaded Iraq to protect America [the stated reason] and to secure ME oil [the unstated reason]. Liberating the Iraqis and giving them democracy was way done the list.

Not that far down, esp, as it was done with the hope that Iraqi democracy would be a good example for other Arabs and in the long run protect Americans, our oil interests, and Israel, and generally make things better in the ME.

Wrong. Hitler was bringing freedom to the Germanic people entrapped in foreign countries.

He may have said that but that wasn't his goal. Germans where not free under Hitler.

No, Bush hasn't but his minions have. However, I will give you that no one has been shot who has spoken out against the war.........ostracized but not shot.

You can't consider all Republicans or conservatives to be Bush's minions.

As for people who opposed the war being ostracized that has really not happened. Criticised and insulted yes, but they have not been shut out from society. Few conservatives would even want to do that but even if all conservatives did they don't have the numbers and the power to make it happen.

we said we would sign the Kyoto Protocol and then reneged. We were a signatory to the World Court

Not ratified, and thus no obligation.

And ole Rummie argued we should not follow the Conventions when it came to the Iraqi and Afghan wars.

He said no such thing. He said certain actions would not be violations of those conventions. Others may disagree with him.

And there's another 3-4 more things we have quit like the anti missile treaty.

That was signed and ratified, but the treaty itself included a provision for withdrawl with notice. Since we provided notice before with withdrew we did not violate it.

"3 - Find one statement where Bush said he was pulling out of, or refusing to sign or support, a treaty, because the rest of the world wanted the US to sign the treaty because they are jealous."

Tim, go play with your navel!

I guess you can't find any such statement.

Tim
