If one has a partner who WANTS to be demeaned, and I think here of the folks in to S and M, I don't see the problem. I'm not sure who it hurts if you want nanny to give you a good spanking. Of course you may be thinking of certain "acts" that you think of as demeaning. I'd say the evaluation of sexual acts is a mighty personal calculus. If you don't like it, don't do it (and one should never force a partner to do things- because then we get in to the realms of nonconsensual sex)- but what someone else might do consensually, is, imo, none of my business, and no reason not to like someone, or to think they are hurting society.

Just my opinion, of course.
