You're wrong. Most Americans believe in common sense gun control which the NRA actively opposes. Most Americans agree allowing assault rifles is insanity. The problem with the NRA is that they have hijacked the Republican party and timidated the DEmocratic party, and they have a ton of money they're perfectly willing to spend against any politician who wonders aloud if AK-47's aren't a tad much. The NRA's goals are stridently against those of the American people. With all these gun massacres, sooner or later politicians re going to have the balls to stand up to these jokers. After Reagan was shot, it almost happenbed, but the NRA doesn't even care about Reagfan being shot. They consider mass murder just part of the price of being "free". Free from what though? Who do they fear is taking away their freedom? It's called extremist paranoia and a dark, hidden agenda they will never admit and work hard to cover up. It's called Armageddon racism and it's not justified.
