What AMD should do is this: Stick with the April 21 date for their dual core SERVER x86 launch.

This week, get a bunch of 2.4GHz dual core A64 samples to the same reviewers who will be reviewing Smithfield (if indeed Intel can give them enough time to review Smithfield before launching).

The comparison will be devastating for Intel on the desktop.

And on the 21st, AMD will launch dual core server parts, uncontested by Intel-- they won't even have samples.
