Bill,
Perhaps you are not aware of the recent news. It seems that Westergaard has lent Nasdaq up to $2,000,000, to start Cyberpatrol. ( To the new Nasdaq police force, the above is a pun intended to draw attention to the plight of the small investor ).
Thank you Black Dahlia, for your astute reference of this new phenomenon. Dahlia's post below !!
exchange2000.com
All please notice Nasdaq's focus which I have copied and pasted below from their article.
>>>It will focus on so-called ``chat-rooms'' on the global network of computers, looking for false information that could move share prices. <<<.
Now, the following is my take on this hot item.
The " Ask Mike Burke " thread will be the first seized. Mike and other posters will be tortured and questioned at length, regarding their source of info on Micron. The potato baron, Simplot, will be behind this investigation. Mike will refuse to divulge his sources, he will then be executed ( force fed rotten potatos ).
That's where the joke ends !!!
1) What is Nasdaq's message here ? 2) Is their focus on the small investor ? 3) Is it meant to help us or harm us ? 4) Will Pluvia be their first target, or will it be Westergaard ? ( somehow I feel it will be Pluvia, even though the facts plainly reveal it should be Westergaard ) 5) MOST IMPORTANT !!! Why hasn't Nasdaq began this by going after companies ( not chat rooms ) whose news releases are full of glorified BS, aimed at entrapping the naive small investors. Let Nasdaq police the news that is released for fact, before breaking down the doors of chat rooms for little guys interpetation of same. 6) Will Nasdaq first make a genuine effort to stop insider trading prior to policing chat rooms? How many here have been in a stock, watch that stock go one way or other violently ( usually against you ), only to find out within days that such and such happened ? How and why did the stock move like that prior to this news? 7) Will Nasdaq focus on bulls or bears in these chat rooms ? If prevailing sentiment is bullish will the Naz try to oust the bears ? 8) Will Nasdaq begin their investigation here ? exchange2000.com If so ? Marcos, thanks for creating it !!! 9) What event or earnings prediction ( upgrade ) has moved the stock of WSYS, ( Westergaard Inc. ) . I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, that stock is up approx. 25% since Tues ? Did Westergaard benefit somehow from what he started here ? John we need a full disclosure from you regarding the recent rise in your stock price ? Is Westergaard going to get this Nasdaq cyberpatrol contract? 10) Did Westergaard need to offer $5,000 bounty for Pluvia's ID? Wasn't Westergaard involved with the CIA.? If so, did he have other covert means besides a PUBLIC bounty to find out who Pluvia is ? Maybe an attorney can help here ? What would have been the cost of securing a subpoena demanding that AOL release Pluvia's info? If less than $5,000, why did Westergaard use this PUBLIC bounty option.
My opinion is that Nas's news release re: cyberpatrol, is not aimed to protect the small investor, if it was, why didn't they name after Marcos new thread ? Why no mention of Paid Touts and Shills Who Post in chat rooms. If that is Nasdaq's thrust, I can relate to that, but somehow I doubt it !!!
Regards and good luck to all, for I think we will be needing it !!
