Power System Management" will take participation in the seminar
"application of mechanisms Of kyoto protocol in
electro-energetics"

11.04.2005

Moscow

On 26 - 27 April, 2005, to the Moscow area OF RAO THE "EES OF RUSSIA"
together with the energy carbonic fund will conduct seminar for
questions, connected with the state program on the realization Of Kyoto
protocol. In the number of participants in the seminar - representatives OF
JOINT STOCK COMPANY of "Mosenergo - Moscow Regional Administration of
Power System Management".
The representatives of Russian energy companies are invited to the
encounter, State Duma RF, Ministries of economic development RF, Ministries of natural resources of Russia, and also the representatives of foreign industrial and investment
companies. Participants in the seminar will examine the program of energy-holding
in the region of regulation and reduction in the ejections of
greenhouse gases in 2005 - 2006, questions of the inventory of ejections will discuss, trade in quotas to the ejections of greenhouse gases, and requirements on the realization of projects on reduction in the
ejections also will discuss.
Kyoto protocol to the frame convention OF UNITED NATIONS about
climate variation entered the action on 16 February of this year after
its ratification by Russia. This document attaches the concrete mechanisms of the realization of
abridging the ejection of greenhouse gases. Today it they signed 130 states. Countries, joined to the document, were taken upon itself the obligations to reduce to 2012 summary
ejections in the world atmosphere of industrial gases to 5,2 % in
comparison with 1990. At the same time Kyoto protocol designates the mechanism of trade
in quotas to the ejections. I.e., those countries, ejections of which are lower than the established value, they can sell quota ecologically to unhappier states. Until today Russia is located in the position advantageous for itself
- after the economic crisis of 1998 and decreases in the production
the portion of its ejections was reduced by more than third. I.e., for the country will have altogether not to only exceed the
level of ejections 1990, while many other participants had to reduce them.
Truck transport is one of the basic sources of environmental pollution
in our country. For example, in the capital region in the share of exhaust gases it is fallen to
all 80 % harmful ejections. The portion of the enterprises of electro-energetics in the total
volume comprises not more than 5 %. JOINT STOCK COMPANY of "Mosenergo - Moscow Regional Administration of
Power System Management" constantly takes measures for reduction in
the negative action on the environment. On all power stations the established norms of ejections in 2004 are
exceeded not on one of the ingredients. For the summary volume of ejections in comparison with 2003 passed yr
it was lowered almost by 7,8 %. In particular, a quantity of ejections of the dioxide of sulfur decreased by more
than 9 %, the oxides of nitrogen (in the conversion on NO2) - to 7,3 %, solids - to 6,7 %. The volumes of the ejections of pollutants from the Moscow OF TETS -
HEAT AND POWER PLANT were reduced in 2004 still more - almost by 17
%. The Moscow of the power station OF JOINT STOCK COMPANY "Mosenergo -
Moscow Regional Administration of Power System Management" ejected to
33,3 % less than the dioxide of sulfur, by 31,7 % were reduced the ejections of solids, also, by 9,4 % - the
ejections of the oxides of nitrogen.
