Neither 2 or 200 is really typical, those are outliers.

There is also some complication do to differences in how crime stats are tabulated.

But we can quibble with numbers all day. I don't have a problem with the point that the US does have a higher murder rate, and a higher rate of deaths from firearms than most countries. I might have a disagreement with further argument you make based on that fact but I'll accept the basic fact.
