I wonder how many are fatal. There's a big difference between a fatal poisoning and a vomiting poisoning with other nasty effects and learning not to eat certain plants. Nature is an excellent and merciless teacher. Primates are primed to learn at a young age about what to eat and what not to eat in the natural realm.

Babies shove anything and everything in their mouths to find something good to eat and to learn what NOT to eat.

I've learned about a few plants from their educational techniques, some at a young age.

I suspect a LOT more fatalities and permanent damage are from household chemistry than from plant poisons. I guess about 100 times as many fatal cases in the USA. I'm not including stupid young adults who try poisoning themselves for fun. I mean infants and young children before they start seeking peer approval by self-destructive activities.
