well, in my view people are people all over the world so it is naive to say that Americans are "better" at something just because they were born if if you offer the same training to offshore workers. This is just common sense. The reason silicon valley engineers were better for so long is because all the knowledge base was here. You ship the knowledge offshore and offshore engineers are better. Well duh. The "head in the sand" attitude of all these overpaid CEOs on this matter really bugs me. Carly Fiorina for example, she had opportunities because she lived in the USA- in general terms she could have very easily been replaced, but was not. She doesn't want to offer the same opportunites to the up-and-coming younger workers than SHE had. Gross really.
