You might enjoy this, Eric. I received the following email from the SF 49ers.

We have not heard from you regarding the renewal of your 49ers season tickets for the 2005 season. On March 31st we sent you a letter informing you that as your account had not been renewed, your seats had been released for possible reassignment.

The seats have not yet been reassigned. There is still time to re-open your account and reinstate your seats if you contact our office by Friday, April 15th. Please call us at (415) 656-4900. We are available Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.

You have been a valued season ticket holder since 1986. We hope you will continue to support the 49ers as new Head Coach Mike Nolan leads the team to new levels of success!

Sincerely,
San Francisco 49ers Ticket Office

Let me translate.

Dear Uncle Frank,

We tried to get you to pay up by threatening an impending event, but it didn't work. Then we tried to sell your tickets, but nobody wanted them. Would you please reconsider? Pretty please?

I will reconsider... as soon as they turn control of the team back to Eddie D.
