When I was in high school Eisenhower came to visit my small hometown. I was able to shake his hand. I think that I was all of 14 years old. I was thrilled.

He was one great military commander. and his farewell speech boded well for us but no one listened.

Don't forget 60 Minutes tomorrow night.
