Ray, I used to sell gas to agriculturalists to warm and enrich the CO2 levels in their glass-houses. Now, they can use the free CO2 which people kindly produce by driving around in their SUVs and 747s. It's not enough, but it's a handy growth aid.

Plants just love eating CO2. It's all they eat. A bit like sheep like eating grass.

Plants like it when there's plenty of CO2 [and ultraviolet light to do the photosynthesis].

Nobody speaks for the plants. They don't even have a vote. They are the modern slaves, used and abused. You would suffocate the poor things when all they want to do is live, enjoy and produce oxygen for you, the master, to breathe. They even, in a kind gesture, produce delicious fruit for you to eat, with the only proviso that you poop out their seeds in a place handy for plant propagation. Bees work flat out to pollinate the flowers to ensure good fruit and produce delicious honey. They NEED that CO2 to do the work for you.

Without CO2, you'll have to produce your own food somehow, without help from plants and animals.
