Lizzie is just depressed that low-tech (programming C++) is getting commoditized.

Wrong. I am depressed because for the first time in my life, the US stock market has fallen into a protracted, multiyear, bearish funk. I have been investing since the mid-80s. This is the worst stock market I have ever seen- it doesn't move, there is NO INTEREST. Even a bear market is better than this because you can short. Whenever I bring up the real reason for this stock market malaise, which **at its core** is the demotion of the middle class American workforce, people like you claim its some personal problem I have with jr. programming salaries.

I distinctly remember you and your investment in valueclick. How is that treating you, hmmm? Let me tell you something- in a good market, WHICH THIS ISN'T- Valueclick would have been a GREAT investment. The company is in a hot space, and performing. But the stock isn't- WHY? For the reasons mentioned above, primarily.

Every time you try to put forth how great this economy is, it sounds to me like the **opposite** of the problem you say I have... you seem personally motivated to put forth a rosy picture that doesn't exist. Maybe you are benefitting from an offshore workforce personally, or the crashing dollar, I don't know. But you cannot accept the reality that these trends mean US stocks CANNOT go up, no matter what the underlying companies do.
