QLogic Unveils SAN Pro™ Line for the Enterprise Features a Comprehensive Suite of High-Performance, High-Availability 4Gb Products
Phoenix (Storage Networking World), - April 12, 2005 - QLogic Corp. (Nasdaq:QLGC), the company that powers storage area networks (SANs), today announced QLogic SAN Pro, a line of products and programs tailored to the high-performance and high-availability requirements of SAN administrators in the enterprise. New SAN Pro products unveiled at SNW include SANblade 4Gb Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) for PCI Express and PCI-X 1.0/2.0 server busses, which feature unprecedented advances in performance, availability, and intelligent networking; SANbox 4Gb Fibre Channel switches; and SANsurfer Management Suite™ (SMS) 4.1 software with sophisticated stack management and configuration management capabilities. SANbox 4Gb switches and SANsurfer software are available today from authorized QLogic distributors. SANblade 4Gb HBAs are sampling today to OEMs and are planned to achieve general availability (GA) by September.

* SANblade QLE2400 Series -- PCI-Express to 4Gb Fibre Channel HBAs * SANblade QLA®2400 Series -- PCI-X 1.0/2.0 to 4Gb Fibre Channel HBAs * SANbox 5602 -- Fibre Channel stackable switches with 16 4Gb ports and four 10Gb ports * SANsurfer Management Suite 4.1 -- Multi-platform management software for managing large SAN infrastructures including iSCSI HBAs, Fibre Channel HBAs and Fibre Channel switches - all from a single console. Now SMS features the ability to manage QLogic stacks of switches as a single entity.
