Dear Pete

Now Intel lost money in flash prior to Q1

You have no data to support that. Yes, Flash was part of a group (not a division) that overall lost money. You conclude that Flash was unprofitable and responsible for the loss. You have no data to support that, but when did you ever let that stop you before?

Now we move to today with Flash oversupply and dropping prices. A news article* quotes an unnamed Intel spokesman as saying that it may be 2006 before Intel Flash is profitable. You don't have the actual quote or the whole statement to put it in perspective, but nevertheless you consider this proof that 2004 was unprofitable was well. You have no data to support that but as I said, when did you ever let that stop you from leaping to conclusions?

With your well known reading comprehension problem, you will no doubt say that I am now claiming Intel's Flash division is profitable today. However you won't find a quote to that effect.
