Ted, Did you not see where I mentioned Clinton's BJ? Of course, that has been a huge boone for the GOP. But I say to you, how good does that make you feel when you know that your party's current success is due to a BJ?

a) The Dems lost Congress to the GOP in 1994, four years prior to "Lewinsky."

So? They took the presidency away from the GOP.

b) Gore tried to be his "own man" in 2000 partly because of the shame of the Lewinsky scandal, but after that, the losses in 2002, CA recall 2003, and 2004 had nothing to do with the scandal.

Yes, apparently, the shame that the GOP encouraged the Dems to feel wasn't an issue. No surprise to me.

c) The Clintons grow in popularity at the same time the Dems recede in popularity. Coincidence?

I see.........its a Clinton conspiracy to undercut the Democratic party and bring it down. They really do scare you guys a lot, don't they? ;~)

The secret to Dems winning in 2008 is to figure out how to neutralize the Rove marketing juggernaut.

At the risk of repeating myself, I'll state the obvious: Rove is overrated.

No, he isn't. He's extraordinarily clever and pushes everything to the legal limit. Not for one second will I underestimate him. Here in WA state, I saw how he operates first hand.
