The increase has been 30% of course the carbon we put into the atmosphere is greater than that and a lot is back out of the atmosphere as you say. You have to keep up to date. More than half the atmospheric buildup was since I was an undergrad/in high school. I remembered that number 330 ppm and now it is 380 ppm and rising fast.
