Believing in Christ is not exactly the same thing as believe in the Catholic ceremony of communion. Different denominations of protestants either don't have communion, or have a different opinion as to what is really happening in communion. I suppose Orthodox and maybe even Anglican would have enough of the same opinion about communion (I'd have to check) but even if they do I wouldn't call excluding them a "ridiculous form of discrimination".
