Hello Mq, Should Germany whitewash their war history, particularly in regard to what they did to the Jews by revising text books, and then German politicians and leaders deliberately visit the war criminals graves embedded in some tomb of the unknown soldier setup, I would guess Germany's entry into the UN Security Council will cause some controversy, and that the Washington Post, NY Times, Chrisian Science Monitor, etc would be ... how should I say ... not pleased.

What do you think?

On ... <<My resolution of the Arab-Israeli conflict ... involves a reconstituted United Nations>>

... you are being shy, or you have no idea. On your hint of a proposal, dunno, don't see it, not by a long shot. Given that the conflict has gone on for longer than a long weekend, my guess is that it would be resolved the traditional way, exhaustion, or total wipeout for one or the other side.

If the solution should turn out to be not by exhaustion, then folks will have to pick a side, logically speaking, one being more right than wrong, and the other being more wrong than right.

If so, what would be your choosing and why?

For myself, choosing against my brothers' people would be impossible. So simple, and so just is.
