adding low tire pressure warnings is like the seat belt imo

i believe the writer understated the overall safety of driving with proper pressure in tires and also excluded the savings in early replacement of a set of tires. Nothing wears a tire down faster than low tire pressure.

I gave all my kids tire valves for xmas as a safety grab bag. these valves have color codes and as tires lose air pressure the stem shows yellow warning, red danger. You can buy them at car supply stores like pep boys.

Everytime i checked the kids tire pressure on their cars the tires were very low. " do you ever check your check tire pressure? No , they are checked at inspection!"
that is my personal experiences with tire pressure.. tires should be checked monthly.
