A key problem for the Iran war hawks is that an attack against Iran could (probably would) deal a huge blow to the global economy and financial markets since Iran is capable of blocking Persian Gulf oil exports should it choose to do so. It is one thing to invade a disarmed Iraq with the Asians financing it on the cheap. Quite another thing to attack a well armed Iran and touch off a stock market crash and global recession/depression
