The arguments I've seen in favor of killing "feral" cats are being made by suburbanites who don't like cats poaching songbirds at their birdfeeders or defecating in their flowerbeds. Sounds like open season on pets to me. You can't tell them apart.

I adopt ferals, or catch them, have them neutered or spayed, and released if they can't be tamed.

My most recent family of cats were from a farm. Farmers are not going to keep barn cats locked up or put collars on them. Cats with collars can hang themselves on fences.

So what's left? There are no roving gangs of cats in the wild, they live near people and forage in the garbage, just like any other cat.

If I had to guess, I would put you into the "kill the cats" camp. Correct?
