xxreno, do you (or anyone else) know whether the pricing for oil is similar to the pricing for natural gas, as far as the producers are concerned?

In other words, is there a "bid week" for oil as there is for gas, where the price for the next month gets set by where oil trades in the last few days of the prior month?

What made me wonder is that one of my stocks (Arena) just announced some data for 1Q which implies that they got $41.50/bbl. for their oil last quarter. This seemed low to me and I'm trying to figure out how that could be. Since they are right there in the middle of the Permian Basin I believe the quality of their oil is mostly pretty high so they shouldn't have to be taking any big quality or grade discounts.
