BTW, you should catch that mama and those babies and get them spayed or neutered, too, even if you don't mean to tame them. Stop the cycle.

Depending on where you live, there are probably vets who will do it at a discount if that's an issue.

Here you can rent a trap from the county for $5 and the cats will go into the trap for smelly fish like sardines. If you have an old blanket or tarp that's been out in the rain you can cover the trap with that so they won't see it, but if it smells too much like people they might be afraid of it.

The babies can be tamed and given away much easier if they've been neutered or spayed and have their shots.

Both my favorite cat of all time and my husband's favorite cat of all time were ferals that we tamed. They don't have that spoiled personality and they are smart and resourceful.
