Allen, I would agree that there is some halo effect going on here. Significantly increased traffic through the stores is not coming just from the faithful or just those looking at iPods in my opinion. There was another question that was brought up that was interesting(I only got to listen to a small portion of the report). Someone asked if the pending release of Tiger caused some people to wait to buy their cpu's. Apple's answer was that they didn't think that this was going on but they couldn't be sure. Overall, from what I heard, it was a good report. They beat their guidance of eps by 10 cents per share and was better than the most aggressive estimate. They had a good mix of product that helped margins. They beat their revenue guidance but missed somewhat on the most aggressive of estimates and that may cause the stock to fall but I would take better margins and better eps. It is my opinion that we are starting to see the halo effect and with Tiger coming out this quarter and the potential that people were waiting for its release to buy a cpu, I think apple will have another good quarter. Didn't they guide to about the same revenue and eps as they did for the quarter past? JMO though. Good luck. Neal
