AMD basically has FAB 36 built and stocked with equipment and in about a month will start testing...by the fourth quarter they will be running tests with 65nm...by the first quarter they will be in production...IBM is helping them with 65nm and will shave off 6 months off the transition...their processor designs will still be better than Intels by the beginning of 2006 and when they get to 65nm Intel better have a new design or it will get ugly...

Boy are you ever a true believer. This is the company that's been late time after time with their process transitions. Intel described their 65nm SRAMs in late 2003. AMD is just not starting to talk about theirs. They haven't fully ramped 90nm after being over a year late and you buy their claims hook line and sinker. Intel publicly demonstrated multiple 65nm processors, including dual core back in January while AMD hasn't shown a single product sample on 65nm. Nevertheless you're convinced they'll be well ahead of Intel by the beginning of 2006. With that faith you could move mountains but I think you're going to need a miracle instead.
