Hi bob, I can see many uses in corporate america for the NC's. Have you figured out who is going to be the winners in this market. I have been involved with a couple of S&P 500 companies that are implementing Oracles data base and upgrading their applications using Peoplesoft as well as some of Oracles applications. After these upgrades there will be areas in the companies that NC's will be attractive for data input that is not automated. By automated I am talking about machines on the factory floors will generate data which is added to these data bases for metric evaluation. Some data will be added by people and this will only require "dumb terminals" like human resource data. Engineers will of course require power computing and will ugrade to the highest power available over time. The servers that support the data gathering and evaluation will require powerful computers. Metric evaluations will be as close to "real time" as possible. Inventory control, generating subcontractor orders, etc. will be happening without human intervention. Great new world.

Now where do we invest to make a buck. I have investments in Oracle and Peoplesoft. I have not figured out who they are going to buy the NC hardware from or who is going to build the guts for these NC's.
