Slagle,

You really need to take some time off from embarrassing yourself on these public threads and learn at least the most modest amount of history.

Re: It wasn't our business.

Look pal, it may not have been our business to get involved with a bunch of ornery polecats in Texas in 1846 and try to give Old Mexico a good case of whupass, but we sure as hell did. Stole a ton of property by 1848. Just like them Urrropeen Imperialists, sir. Not a dime's worth of difference between Polk's conquest and what the conquistadors pulled off a few centuries earlier.

Then again, Remember the Maine! sonny boy. 1898, and the country is feeling its oats once again. So what do we do, jimminycricket? We go whack Cuba. And for good measure we steal Puerto Rico from Spain and then the big prize.... is..... the Philippines. We go into Manila Harbor, and the Spanish realize that they'z whupped. So they leave. Then we take on the WHITE MAN'S BURDEN and murder about 600,000 to 1,000,000 Philippinos in the process of liberating them. Kinda like we're doing in Iraq now, and we did in Southeast Asia in the '60s and '70s. Murder, man. That's what this nation is all about. Murdering the mud people. It just makes little-brained white boys with big guns and syphilitic cocks feel soooo dammmn good!
