re: Gold meltdown........ I posted earlier about the "Talking Points" recently being spewed about the Gold Price from Larry Kudlow and Steve Forbes et al.... The US leadership needs POG at around $365-$385...as part of US Policy vis a vie our very real and overheating "Cold WAR" ongoing with China...to signal that there is no INFLATIONARY canary in the coal mine alarm going off...if and when; they decide to ramp Oil thru $80 to bring the Chinese to their knee's. They will "sell us" on Oil being a much smaller part of GDP today than 10 years ago... (they've already been planting those seeds)and they'll point to the Gold Price and say - "see; Gold is not signalling inflation" from the Oil move,,,, the US Economy can handle it just fine - don't worry, be happy etc... Nothing wrong with trading in & out of the downward slope that appears to be coming...maintaining a "CORE" only position on Gold/PM's. For me - that's a 10-12% portfolio weighting in this geopolitical environment. Guys.... we can effectively trade a downward cycle leg... just as effectively as we can an upcycle leg. Be patient... stay light & nimble...and don't be afraid to just maintain a floating "CORE" only position. The time to re-load THY BOAT... will come. Patience & Cash will be rewarded. Most here have exercised the above during the recent Oilpatch sell off ( another great call by ISO !)...be patient. good luck all~
