Mindmeld, Intel has fabs to protect itself. Billions of dollars in latest fabs is a pretty large barrier to entry.

Question: but what does Cisco have to protect itself? Sure, Cisco has an entrenched channel, tools, and standards which all provide protection. But those are still easier to chip away than a fab. So Cisco has to be careful.
