At some point in the not too distant future this will fall apart no matter what "they" do or desire IMHO.

I remember reading books on the depression and the associated 1929-33 stock market smash. A lot of traders back then argued that the market could never to go down for the count because "they' (the powers that be) would not "allow" it to happen.

History does not repeat exactly but if often rhymes.
