Owning military weapons is not a protected right. Nor are cop-killer bullets. The NRA pisses on the 2nd amendment when they misread it like this. The founding fathers did not have rightwing militias in mind when they talked about citizens militias. The rightwing militias have tyranny in mind more than liberty. Plus we already have the National Guard in all the states. We don't need rightwing wackos arming to overthrow less rightwing governments. What they did during the Clinton years was abominable, resulting in the Oklahoma City bombing.
