My grandfather used to travel from Illinois to Oregon annually to fish for salmon back in the 20s and 30s. What gets me is the people of the Northwest didn't give a crap when building those dams that stopped the fish. Now the fish are Holier than the Grail. I hear a lot of O'Hail Canada environmental stuff. While the US won't harvest and eat some of those sea lions the Canadians beat to death 250,000 seal pups and leave their bodies to rot to protect their cod fishery.
