Gib, Ray doesn't have credibility. He's like the fundamental quantum nature of the aether, which randomly bubbles up with various ideas, facts, links, anything at all, off the beaten track, irrespective of any norms. A kind of random number generator. A fundamental force field. An unadulterated pure ego. A free-floating consciousness, unrestrained by boring thermodynamic laws, conservation of momentum, gravitational fields, facts, truth, reality, or rationality.
He provides points of views, links and ideas which one might not otherwise come up with. They should NOT be assigned credibility until one has checked his rants through one's own filters. He's like one of those photons which exists in all states, only coming into reality when an observer observes, collapsing his wave function into another consciousness.
Life without Ray would be as awful as life in USSR-style Kleptocratic Kremlinland where all is forbidden and only approved thoughts and facts exist. His is the wild, free rein, boundless antithesis to Big Brother. He is probably an acolyte, sidekick or mentor of Ted Kaczynski, without the commitment.
