Saying that something is subsidised does not make it so. Unless you have evidence (reliable numbers from an accessible source) say with reference to COS or OPC (both reputable pure play oil sands public companies with properly audited accounts)and can point to the line items in those accounts showing a subsidy, or unless you can document something external to the projects which is a targeted subsidy, then I will consider the assertion of a current subsidy to oil sands extraction not at all proven. The Nexen/OPTI oil sands partnership is not going to use any natural gas, by the way, and indeed its process is even designed to have its own co-generation plant for electricity. Tony.
