SCHMUCKWATCH

By A.M. Mora y Leon on Crazy People

He just doesn't get it, does he? Just picture what the people in that room were thinking. Just when you thought the revolution had gone dead in Venezuela, this thug reminds you there is still one out there. He never lets you down.

Venezuelan businessmen can count on the "revolutionary" government to provide them with loans and export deals. However, President Hugo Chávez warned them that becoming rich is not a good idea.

"To be a rich man is a bad thing," Thursday said Chávez to of small and medium-seized entrepreneurs at Miraflores Presidential Palace.

He also suggested that people who have made huge wealth by means of their jobs "should donate all of it to charity," news agency Reuters reported.

During the event, the Venezuelan ruler promised local businessmen to help them look for business and export opportunities in countries such as Cuba, China, and India, with which he has sought to bolster trade and political relations.

Further, Chávez hinted the possibility that Venezuelan entrepreneurs should give up a part of their businesses in favor of workers under a "co-management" scheme.
