Well, I inferred from what Carl Johnson told us, that apparently some executives from tech companies such as Dell and IBM have made predictions to analysts about revenue growth being in the high teens % range. Why they did that is beyond my understanding. But it seems that the Dell guy had to apologize that the PC industry growth did not rise up to his excessive prior prediction. And now the IBM guy had to apologize for his company's revenue growth rate falling short of his prediction.

This failure to meet excessive expectations is being extrapolated to companies that have not reported yet. No point in waiting for their guys' apology. Just sell now and apologize later.
