An interesting conundrum rose, to be sure... Chrétien was right to say no to Bush from a Canadian standpoint. Harper has to realise that for the Conservatives to be elected they need to be far more liberal socially. This is not the US. We need fiscal conservatism but even the more conservative here seem to be 'liberal' compared to many Americans... Mr. Bush would never get 30% of a popular vote in this country. It is naive IMHO to believe in a man that practises 'private healthcare' for himself and registers his ships in low wage countries to avoid Canadian law.... Rose IMHO he is a hypocrite of the grandest proportions... he cares only to be PM and aggrandise his personal reputation... all IMHO... nothing more ... His believing in the Liberal ideal... a convenient schtick.. the truth is out there... You know the Liberals should be my party... sadly they are not..
