"Ethically, you can measure the two parties against the corruption yardstick of their own President. Many Republicans supported the effort to impeach Nixon because ethics trumped politics. No Democrat Senators were willing to support the effort to impeach Clinton because politics trumped ethics."

Yes, and that was exactly my thinking which I wanted to explore in a later post...

It all boils down to the fact that liberals have a serious problem ever admitting to being wrong. That seems to come more easy to people of the opposite political orientation. At least we do sometimes, if not often enough admit to being wrong. Look at this thread where quite a few GOP posters are critical of Bush and his flaws. How many libs ever expressed any such doubt as for the Perfect Clintons?

That is the point. If you examine the posts of liberals, very few ever criticise Democrats on this or any other subject. On this subject I have never seen a liberal post critical of any Democrat being liberal. They are critical of Democrats like Zell Miller for morning the loss of his party. Even Hillary mostly gets a bye when hse lies about being moderate in her speeches. But have you ever seen a post critical of moron.org from any of these leftists?

We often admit the flaws of our leaders. The leftists get upset because we do not buy into every leftwingnut spun criticism, but we do admit when there is a legitimate mistake.
