If fundamentalist christians really believe in End of Days (enough to buy 40 million copies of those idiotic books) then they'd give away all of their goods and go sit in the Israeli desert.

Obviously, they don't really believe and think that God is so stupid that he'll see a true believer in the suburbanite sitting in air conditioned comfort eating chips and watching the boob tube.

Yeah, right. God is THAT stupid.

NBC is trying to make money essentially mocking the End of Days baloney. If it can be turned into a commercial venture (tv show) then it IS mocking.

============"First, and perhaps most important, is the general misperception - shared by Hollywood - that the number of evangelical Christians in the United States is growing, says Charles Brown, a professor of sociology at Albright College in Reading, Pa. According to church estimates, the actual number (somewhere between 25 million and 75 million, depending on the definition) has remained steady over the past three decades, says Professor Brown."
