What's even more amazing is that HP probably paid for that ad entirely with its own money.

It's frustrating to see so many ads (often on TV) from IBM, HP, etc. touting their Intel based servers, knowing full well that Intel paid for a huge chunk of it. That really biases the marketing groups when they're deciding what to advertise, where to advertise, and how to advertise.

Again, it REALLY makes the HP AMD server ad all the more significant. They know the performance is awesome and that they'll sell a ton of them if they just get the word out.
