I still wanna know why he (Sid) would have invested in BLD on puffery. This strikes me as curious given his doubts about the technology and its possibilities for profits. Yet he's also said that this thread isn't for day traders.

I feel like I'm missing something here, though: if he's not a short-termer, why is he long BLD when the only reason he sees its stock going up is puffery? Am I right then in thinking he's invested in the stock, not the company? That's certainly a viable strategy in the stock market, though I'd be too scared ever to try it. I'm dumb enough to have invested in BLD because I believe in the company and the technology (over the long-term that is.) I could very easily be wrong, but I can sleep with that. I'd be too scared to buy a stock simply because it might go up when a magazine article comes out.

Frankly, I wish that WIRED and Barron's and all the rest would go away for a long while. Let the stock rise or fall simply as a technological hurdle is surpassed, or when BLD fails get over it.

I understand many of Sid's doubts about BLD, but I completely fail to understand why he would have bought BLD stock. ???????

Best of luck to all,

Andy Patton
