I think you are all jumping the gun on thinking that we are in a secular bear market. GE posted a surpise to the upside. GE is an incredibly well diversified company and is more representative of the economy than IBM or GM. The bubble has definitely moved from tech stocks to real estate to oil and who knows where next. But the smart money is buying into tech now, as well as staying well diversified. There will always be moving bubbles. The key is staying the course and staying diversified. That way when one area of your portfolio is doing poorly, others are more than making up the difference.

The chicken littles will make you feel like the sky is falling, though. That will always happen and it's happening now.
