Know exactly what you mean: Tarantino is a film stock (and all else film) connasuir. He doesn't just use any ol' stock for the time stamp effect you mentioned. Nooo; he goes all the way, for the exact type of film which elicits the precise movie we all (including him) saw back when. Whacko, but perfectionist in terms of visual film memory. Gotta love 'im.
