I think the NICS background checks by the Brady law is a good thing. However let me add that if the FBI approves a transaction and we later find out ther buyer was a criminal or straw purchaser, I say allow the FBI to be sued for its negligence.

I'm all in favor of smart guns too and will be one of the first to get one, but if and only if the police buy them too.
