OK, it is an issue (their recent move on the judiciary is a prime example).

But in this instance, power = money/resources/focus. It's obvious that this admin and congress don't believe those resources are finite; they believe they can spend over and above with impunity. I have a difficult time getting my thinking around that concept, and maybe that's the essence of our disagreement. You are talking about incremental spending; I'm thinking realigning money/resources/focus.

My argument is that finite resources are being spent on things that don't promote economic growth. We're falling behind many other countries, particularly Asian countries in some key technology metrics. They are spending their resources at home; we are spending our resources abroad. They are becoming more competitive; we are becoming less.
