Partisanship has really gone too far this time, IMO. Have people totally forgotten the point of the exercise, which is to fill vacancies on the federal bench?

For each vacancy there are at least dozens of candidates who could ably do the the job and who could get 100 votes in the senate. If you're only looking to get sixty votes, then there are probably hundreds. But, no, that's not good enough for some ideologues and/or partisans. They are so strident that they will turn the government on its head to insert their narrow views that they insist on pushing candidates who can't get sixty votes or to score a political victory. Shame on THEM.
