The rand cam and/or fuel vapor technology could also be attractive to manufacturers if it improves fuel efficiency (competitive advantage), reduces maintenance/support costs (operations cost reduction), is cheaper to manufacture (cost reduction), or is perceived by the public as preferable due to reduced emissions (comp. advantage). Many consumers would buy a device with lower pollution over one with similar capability and price that had higher pollution any day of the week. And if the engine is smaller and lighter then so much the better. Reg. seems to have the goods, if their press releases are to be believed. The issue now is marketing. AF
