The colonscopy and some other tests would probably be more relevant for you... if you are lucky. But then again, as you point out, without insurance there is seldom a chance for such tests. I live by the "just don't get sick or break a bone or other such things" rule. :) At least with mammagrams, there are often clinics giving them if you keep your eye open for them. Other forms of cancer, and other illnesses, is just a crapshoot. Again, as you point out, some people find these things out when it is too late, not for wanting to but for want of means. There have been some good studies on early deaths in America due to lack of detection of treatable illnesses from a lack of health care options. A very sad state of affairs, imo.
