I just watched "The Forest Rangers" with Fred MacMurray, Paulette Goddard, and Susan Hayward. It was filmed during the war in 1942, two years before I was born. Some of the flying and smokejumping was done in my home town. It was pretty funny watching Hollywood's idea of Forest Rangers, but at least they were good guys. One of the funniest scenes was MacMurray, Goddard, and Hayward trying to share a single blanket after being stranded in the woods. MacMurray was married to one of them,which severely complicated the matter.
